      Odaigahara

      A plateau-like mountain range on the border between Nara and Mie prefectures, Hinodegatake (1,695m) as its highest peak.
      It boasts one of the world's highest annual rainfalls, at 3,500 mm.
      The cliffs of Oodake, the majestic beauty of the valley, and the rich virgin forests of spruce and Daijagura are all part of this.
      It has become a mecca for serious mountaineering in Kinki region.

      Omine Okugakemichi

      Omine Okugakemichi is a training trail for ascetics that connects the sacred places of Yoshino and Omine and the Kumano Sanzan from north to south.
      It is about 80km from Mt Yoshino to Kumano Hongu Taisha.
      Among them, Omine Okugakemichi, which stretches for about 20km within Kamikitayama Village,
      It is located at an altitude of 1,500 to 2,000 meters and is the steepest pilgrimage route in Omine Mountain Range.
      The old road passes through virgin forests such as beech and spruce forests,
      The natural path, rich with blooming flowers such as white rhododendrons, rhododendrons, and magnolias, has been maintained unchanged since ancient times.
      In addition, you can go to Sho no Iwaya, the snow retreat site where the most severe training took place in the mountains.

      WASAMATA HUTTE

      WASAMATA HUTTE is
      This campsite and hut is located at an altitude of 1,150m.
      As a climbing route to Daifugendake, one of the Omine mountain ranges,
      This area is visited by many climbers every year.
      The camping field in front of the hut was once a ski resort.
      If you climb the tree deck installed on the symbolic tree at the top of the slope,
      You can see Odaigahara, and at night the sky is filled with stars.
